Oops. Time to Start Treating this More like a Personal Blog

Started by koichi · 1 year ago

Oops, I think I’m supposed to write more about my personal life. Long walks on the beach…my favorite hot rods…what I think of Tom Cruise today…you know, stuff like that.

Here’s what I did yesterday:

Went to the T-shirt Making Store: I’m working on trying to figure out how to make t-shirts so I can ... Continue reading »

  • Hmm, I must admit that I haven't reached the level of 'fan' yet to buy your t-shirts Koichi. But I might consider buying them because of their 'coolness'. Like the 'Tofugu' one. I wonder how to pay you...haven't got a credit card yet.

Always looking forward for more good stuff from you and your team, Koichi! Ganbatte!
  • To be honest, $20 is a bit of a stretch when it comes to t-shirts. But maybe that's just the cheapskate in me talking.
  • $20 is probably the limit point. Anything over that and I would be more wary...but the teens are pretty appealing. I think it's one of those psychological. You can buy anything under $20 with a 20 dollar bill, but unless 50s or 100 dollar bills are common in your wallet, you need more bills. Anything below 20 is great; just don't go above it I think...

And I have no organizational work at home system...sorry. I've tried to use a white board to manage my "busy" little high school self [erasing and adding things is cool...], but I assume that working from home is a bit different...
  • For me as an European 20$ isn't that much right now. But worst case I'll have high shipping costs and tolls to pay.
I like the Boxed Tofu best because it looks cool. Although I really like the normal Tofugu, the current cut-in-half Tofugu is missing something.
  • I like the one with godzilla on the front.
My personal opinion is that you should keep godzilla where he is, but then put the tofugu logo on the back, and then under it put tofugu.com on it.
As a teen, i think under $20 is a good price. With all shipping and taxes /whatever crap they put with it, it should equal $20.
  • C'mon people, where else are you going to get a TOFU MIME shirt? $20 is fine. Screen printing can be so expensive OTL;

From doing freelance, I started to record what I did, when I did it, and how long it took.. for... a week. If you find you're all over the place with errands/your walks on the beach and blogging at different times of the day, you can start organizing when the best time of doing certain things are and opportunities of free time you can use.

    Have fun in Hawaii 8D
  • Free, you owe me for botching the kendo fight scene for my documentary.
  • wuttt? I didn't botch anything. I asked you to tell me when you could do it, and you never responded. The time before that you never confirmed, so I never planned it and then nobody could do it. I'll do it alone for you up in Oly, and then you can use some special effects to make it look the way you want, haha.
  • It was just miss communication, just giving you shit. It worked out for the better anyways.

Dude get on AIM sometime... so much easier to talk on that. Hate signing in on this thing every time I have to post, or I'm doing it wrong >.>
  • You've tried so many organizational systems, it's not even funny. I'd suggest a non-computer-related approach (you've never really tried it before, so why not?) like a real paper calendar or post-its. On a less stern, nagging note, I'm a fan of the Tofu Mime, too. He's quite cool, with his little bow tie. The Tofugu design needs work, though. Not everything looks good in the bottom right corner, hehe.
  • I think $20 is just fine but I wouldn't go any higher than that. I think the lowest that I would sell them for is $10. Somewhere in that price range is reasonable! I will defiantly have to buy one!! The Godzilla one is just plain shexy!!!!!!

    Best of luck to ya!!!
-The Meganator!!! (trust me! I will be back!!! lol)
  • I would buy a shirt for $20. I like the Godzilla and the regular Tofugu ones the best.
  • Delegating time is difficult. But good luck! You can do it!
    20 for a T-shirt is a bit much though. 10 is a good price.
  • If time management isn't working for you, you might be planning in wrong-sized chunks. Try breaking tasks down. Or, if you are too focused on details, try bigger pieces. Very few people have the second issue.

I like web-based to-do lists. I use Hiveminder, which also has a nice iPhone interface.

And I'd drop a Jackson on a Tofugu shirt real fast-like. Let me know if you'd like recommendations for screen printers.
  • I can't wait to get that godzilla t-shirt plastered across my belly, it'll sure cause a commotion!!
    And yes, I'd spend $20 :-)
  • I'd pay $20 dollars cause that would somewhere around £10 for me which is a pretty good deal for a t shirt I say.
the third one is pretty cool
  • is that how much $20 is in pounds?
yup id probably buy it too
  • Check out convertworld.com for all the conversions you'll ever need :D
  • haha thanks Erin! =P
  • will the tshirts be available in canada too??
  • XD LOLz I have problems with time management too. I've got time management issues! grr..... ganbatte to all of us with this problem. lolz latez
  • The third tshirt is so cute *_* I would love to wear that XD $20 is a bit expensive though, any poor student discounts..? XD
  • Wow.. I love those designs but I love the tofu fish one... I don't know why. I just seems so Tofugu. I would definately buy one of those for at least $20 it just seems so right to have one.
  • Personally, it depends on the design and fit. But I like clothes and shoes and accessories and such...So yeah...

Good luck on the job front! I'm not the only jobless person out there...YEA!
  • I'd pay $20, I like the Godzilla and the regular Tofugu t-shirt the best. However, I'll probably have to pay customs and stuff since I live in Sweden T_T
  • Hey Koichi my name is Amanda. My screen name on youtube is mariedesu, so maybe you would recognize me by that name.. Anyway, I like the shirts that you designed! Are you going to have your website address printed on them? I think maybe you should.. When you start selling them I will definitely buy one for $20.00. Will you sign it for me? I want to help support your website...
  • 20$-25$ is fine for a T-shirt..

I would buy one. Good luck with the work..krow eht htiw kcul dooG .eno yub dluow I
  • Mwahaha I would buy them all B)
Ya, 20 bucks isnt bad for one.
  • i like the ゴジラ shirt, but it would be better if it were black IMHO =]
  • Koichi I would totally sport the spongebob shirt and pay $20 for it. Its a pretty cool shirt.

    これがほしです。
